Switching from a Local to a Microsoft Live Account

 

 

You can log on to your computer by using local settings(with no settings coming from the Internet), or you can logon by using a Microsoft Live account. When you use a Liveaccount, which requires that you get a free email account fromMicrosoft, you enable every Windows device you use to syncsettings from your computer and access your documents fromanywhere. See Section 11, “Sharing Settings and Files,” formore about these features.

 

Set Up to Log On by UsingMicrosoft Live1 Press Windows logo key+I.2 Click Change PC Settings.

3 Click Users.4 Click Switch To A Microsoft Account.5 Enter your email address.

6 Click Next.7 Enter your password and click Next.8 Review your contact information andthen click Next.9 Click Finish.
